Huluwa Pharmaceutical Group Chairman Liu Jingping Wins China Charity Award

On September 5, the 12th China Charity Award ceremony, sponsored by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on China Charity Day. Liu Jingping, Chairman of Huluwa Pharmaceutical Group, was honored with the 12th China Charity Award for her sustained dedication and outstanding contributions to charity and public welfare, and took the stage as a representative of compassionate individuals to receive the award.

The China Charity Award is the highest government honor in the national charity sector. Since its inception in 2005, the award has been presented for twelve consecutive editions, effectively disseminating core socialist values and fostering the development of charitable causes. To recognize exemplary models in the field of public welfare and charity, the Ministry of Civil Affairs decided to confer the 12th China Charity Award upon Liu Jingping and other 144 compassionate individuals, teams, donor enterprises, charity projects, and charitable trusts, following proper procedures including nominations, votes by judges and online polls, consultations with relevant departments, and public announcements, in accordance with the Selection and Commendation Regulations of the China Charity Award.

Rooted in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in close relation with the people’s livelihood, Huluwa Pharmaceutical Group, under the leadership of Liu Jingping—Secretary of the Group’s Party Committee and Chairman—has always adhered to its corporate mission of “Healthy Chinese Children,” focusing on children’s health while channeling the warm currents of charity and public welfare through consistent compassionate actions.

Inspired and led by Liu Jingping, every single member of Huluwa has sincerely reached out to children in activities such as the “Care for Children with Thalassemia,” “Spring Bud Program,” and “Micro Wishes for Urban Disadvantaged Children,” becoming their close companions.

The company has organized up to 100 public lectures on children’s safe medication use across Hainan Island, spreading the concepts of safe and standardized pediatric drug use to millions of households. It has proactively set up well-functioning platforms to join forces with authoritative institutions through projects like the “Healthy Chinese Children Compassionate Action,” co-establishing academic bases for children’s health management and children’s health guidance and service centers, pooling various available resources to safeguard children’s healthy growth. It has also advanced professional development through activities such as the “China Pharmacy • Huluwa Cup Gold Pediatric Pharmacist Selection” and the “Huluwa Cup • Children’s Influenza Prevention Knowledge Competition.”

Liu also serves as President of the Hainan Children’s Welfare Association. On March 8 of every year, she visits the Haikou Social Welfare Institute together with the group’s senior executives, employee representatives, and volunteers for condolences and donations, a practice that has continued for nine consecutive years. Huluwa’s presence remained active at the critical moments of COVID-19 pandemic prevention and supply security. During the pandemic, Huluwa Pharmaceutical Group donated clinically urgent medications worth 10.329 million yuan to the Red Cross Society of China Hainan Branch. Liu Jingping also donated 100,000 yuan to the China Charity Federation for pandemic relief efforts, contributing 200,000 units of anti-epidemic supplies to frontline workers, establishing pandemic volunteer service teams, and donating 260,000 yuan to the Haikou Social Welfare Institute to build the “Care & Protection” medical isolation observation area. In August this year, during the critical flood relief efforts in Hebei Province, Huluwa swiftly dispatched aids to flood-stricken areas, donating over 1.3-million-yuan worth of living supplies and emergency medications.

Liu Jingping has fully demonstrated her exemplary leadership, embodying the responsibility and commitment of an entrepreneur through actual actions. Over the years, Huluwa Pharmaceutical Group has engaged in diversified, long-term, and regular public welfare activities to promote social harmony, with cumulative investments exceeding 100 million yuan.
