Huluwa Pharmaceutical Group Achieves New Breakthrough in TCM Manufacturing, Upgrading the Quality of Compound Fresh Dendrobium Granules

Recently, Guangxi Weiwei Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Huluwa Pharmaceutical Group, received approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for a supplemental application regarding Compound Fresh Dendrobium Granules, approving changes to the manufacturing process, excipients, and inner packaging. The upgraded product achieves a technological breakthrough while maintaining the original dosage of herbal ingredients unchanged. The specification has been adjusted from 5 g per sachet to 2 g per sachet, improving portability and ease of administration. In addition, sucrose has been replaced with sucralose, making it the first sucrose-free Compound Fresh Dendrobium Granules in China, better meeting the needs of patients with diabetes and individuals requiring blood glucose control.

Through process optimization, the product reduces excipient usage while increasing the purity of active constituents in the crude herbal materials, aligning with the modern TCM trend of "dose reduction with efficacy enhancement". Industry experts believe that the launch of sugar-free traditional Chinese medicine granules represents an effective integration of classical formulations with modern health requirements.

In recent years, Huluwa Pharmaceutical Group has pursued a dual-track R&D strategy combining in-house and collaborative development, establishing research platforms including the Academician Zhang Qiang Workstation, a Postdoctoral Research Station, and the Hainan Provincial Engineering Research Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine Preparations.
