9-Year Commitment - Volunteers from Huluwa Pharmaceutical Group Join Children from Haikou Social Welfare Home in Painting a Vision for the Free Trade Port

On March 8, Haikou Children's Welfare Institution resonated with laughter as Huluwa Pharmaceutical Group, in collaboration with Hainan Xuridongsheng Charity Foundation, launched the “Growing Together, Painting Future” public welfare campaign. This marks the 9th consecutive year that Huluwa Pharmaceutical Group and the Hainan Xuridongsheng Charity Foundation have provided targeted support to for children at the welfare home, demonstrating a longstanding commitment to corporate social responsibility. Through these charitable efforts, the initiative continues to bring warmth and care to children's welfare in the Hainan Free Trade Port.

9-Year Commitment: From Health Guardianship to Emotional Companionship

At 9:00 a.m., the donation ceremony took place in a warm and heartfelt atmosphere. Ms. Liu Jingping (Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Huluwa Pharmaceutical Group, as well as Executive Director of Hainan Xuridongsheng Charity Foundation) emphasized in her speech that children’s health is fundamental to the development of the Free Trade Port. As a local pharmaceutical company, Huluwa remains dedicated to its mission of “Healthy Chinese Children”, strengthening the fortress for children's growth through a dual approach of scientific innovation and public welfare initiatives.

Since 2017, Huluwa Pharmaceutical Group and Hainan Xuridongsheng Charity Foundation have provided continuous support to Haikou Children's Welfare Institution, donating medicines, educational materials, and daily necessities for nine consecutive years. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Huluwa contributed RMB 260,000 to establish the medical and nursing isolation observation area under the “Love and Care” program, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the institution.

Ms. Tang Fengying (Director of Haikou Social Welfare Institution) expressed deep appreciation for Huluwa Pharmaceutical’s nine-year commitment, highlighting that the company has delivered essential supplies and emotional support through structured engagement programs. This long-term dedication has helped the children feel the warmth of a caring society while setting a benchmark for child welfare development in Hainan. During the event, the Hainan Xuridongsheng Charity Foundation donated milk powder, diapers, and other daily necessities and nutritional products to Haikou Children's Welfare Institution. Additionally, Huluwa Women's Association thoughtfully prepared snack gift packs, adding extra joy and excitement to the children’s special day.

Following the donation ceremony, volunteers joined the children in a creative activity themed “Painting a Civilized and Harmonious Free Trade Port”. In the painting group, the children used the blue sea, vast sky, and lush coconut groves as the backdrop for their artwork, depicting their vision of the Free Trade Port with heartfelt strokes. Meanwhile, in the paper-cutting group, they blended youthful creativity with traditional craftsmanship, producing intricate “Happy Childhood” paper-cut designs. One of the highlights of the event was a 5-meter-long collaborative painting titled “Civilized and Harmonious Free Trade Port”, which stood out as a vibrant expression of their hopes and dreams.

“Art is the key to unlocking the heart. We hope to inspire children's confidence and creativity through artistic expression, allowing them to not only witness but also actively participate in the building of the Free Trade Port,” said the volunteer leader.
